Im Vorfeld der olympischen Spiele feiert CREATE die kreative und künstlerische Energie Londons: Noch bis zum 1. August 2010 findet das von der Deutschen Bank als Hauptsponsor geförderte Festival in fünf Bezirken der Themsemetropole statt. Mit über 100 Partnerinstitutionen und Künstlern aus den Bereichen Tanz, Design, Theater und bildender Kunst zeigt CREATE wie vital die Szene im Osten und Südosten ist, wo über 15.000 Künstler leben. Neben "Young London: Into Music" bildet "Future Histories" einen weiteren Schwerpunkt mit einer Serie von Podiumsdiskussionen, Führungen und Veranstaltungen, bei denen prominente Künstler und Kuratoren beteiligt sind, die vor Ort leben und arbeiten. Mit dabei sind unter anderem die Künstlerinnen Tracey Emin und Rachel Whiteread sowie Iwona Blazwick, Direktorin der Whitechapel Gallery.
Zu der Partnerschaft mit CREATE sagt Colin Grassie, CEO von Deutsche Bank UK: "Kunst leistet einen entscheidenden Beitrag zur Förderung von Wachstum und Innovation und gibt wichtige Anstöße in den unterschiedlichsten Gesellschaftsbereichen. Die Deutsche Bank war daran beteiligt, mehrere aufregende neue Projekte in ihrem Anfangsstadium zu unterstützen – an erster Stelle die Frieze Art Fair und nun auch CREATE 10."
